How to Be SavedWhat does God’s Word reveal to us about Salvation?
I. We have all done wrong (sinned). Rom. 3:23 “For all have sinned (done wrong) and fall short of the Glory of God.” II. Our wrongs (sins) separate us from God. Rom. 6:23 “The wages (payment) of sin (our wrongs) is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. III. Despite our wrongs (sin), God still Loves Us. Rom. 5:8 “God demonstrates his love toward us, in that while we were still sinners(wrong doers), Christ Died for us.” IV. The Gift of Salvation is free! Eph. 2:8-9 “For by grace you are saved, through faith and not that of yourselves it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. ” V. How do we receive this Salvation? Rom. 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” |
